Web Design & Online Marketing for Kentucky Small Businesses.

You paid for a website. It probably looked exactly how you wanted it to. Then you waited for the calls that never came, because nobody mentioned that design and SEO are usually sold as two separate things, by two separate people, on two separate invoices.

That's what I fix.

Web Design & Online Marketing Kentucky — SEO built in, not bolted on. Diagram showing SEO-first site architecture connecting index, service, blog, kentucky, contact, and article pages.

The website looked good. Nothing else did.

This is the story I hear most from Kentucky small business owners.

Step 1

They hired a designer.

Got a site they were proud of. Budget got spent.

Step 2

The site launched.

They waited for the calls.

Step 3

A few months in.

No traffic. No leads. No traction.

Step 4

They asked why.

Told they'd need SEO. Another service. Another vendor. Another contract.

The problem was never the design.

Design and SEO were treated like unrelated projects — and by the time anyone noticed, the budget was gone.

What SEO-first web design actually means.

Every site I build starts with one question: who needs to find this, and how are they already searching for it?

That shapes everything before a single design choice gets made — the page structure, the headings, the copy, the way the site links to itself. When your site launches, the SEO foundation isn't something you're going back to fix. It's already there.

Custom design

Built for your brand, your audience, and whatever CMS makes sense for your business — WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Astro, Drupal, or static HTML. No pre-built templates that look like every other site in your industry.

Site structure Google can read

URL structure, heading hierarchy, internal linking — set up correctly from the start, not retrofitted after launch.

On-page optimization

Title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup where it applies, image alt text. The technical groundwork search engines need to understand what each page is about.

SEO copy — included, not added later

Every page, written to rank and to convert. Not placeholder text you'll eventually get around to fixing. Sales psychology built in. StoryBrand or another framework available as a service upgrade.

How a web design & online marketing project works.

01

Discovery

We talk through your business, your goals, and who you're trying to reach. I pull keyword and competitor data before anything gets designed.

02

Design

Your site will look good and load fast — that part's non-negotiable. I match the CMS to how you actually run your business, not whatever's trending. Mobile-first because Google has used mobile-first indexing as its default since July 2024 — the SEO cost of getting it wrong is too high to treat it any other way.

03

Content & optimization

I write the copy. Every page, structured around what your audience is actually searching for. This is where most web projects fall apart. Not here.

04

Launch & handoff

Your site goes live. You get a full walkthrough of what was built, what it's targeting, what to watch in Search Console, and what to prioritize next.

What's included — and what isn't.

$2,500–$3,500

Frequently asked questions.

// Q1

How long does a project take?

Base builds — 10 pages, standard scope, no major add-ons — average 2–3 weeks. Larger scopes, more pages, or specific requests will push that toward 4–6 weeks. You'll get a realistic timeline before anything gets signed, not an optimistic one.

// Q2

What happens after launch?

Every build comes with a 30-day guarantee. If something I built breaks, a link is dead, schema comes back wrong, a typo surfaces — that gets fixed at no charge. After that, I'm available for ongoing maintenance, additional pages, troubleshooting, and updates on an hourly basis. No retainer required.

// Q3

Do you work with businesses outside Kentucky?

Yes — I work with small businesses anywhere. Kentucky clients are a priority because I care about what gets built here, and local SEO is part of what I do well.

// Q4

Can I use the CMS I already have?

Yes. I work with WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Astro, Drupal, and static HTML. If you have something you're already comfortable with, we use it. If you're starting from scratch, I'll give you a recommendation based on what actually fits your needs — not what's easiest for me.

// Q5

What if I have a website that just needs SEO work?

This specific package is for new builds and full redesigns. If your site is structurally sound and you need standalone SEO consulting or an audit, that's a separate service — see SEO services or reach out and I'll point you in the right direction.

// Q6

Is SEO copy really included, not an upsell?

Yes. Every page, written to rank. That's the whole point.

See it before you sign anything.

The site you're on right now is one example. bree-sharp.com runs on Astro with Cloudflare Pages — pre-rendered HTML, minimal JavaScript, built to load fast and rank. No page builders, no bloat.

manywordsonevoice.com is another — a WordPress publication in a YMYL niche, the category Google holds to its strictest quality standards. It runs a full custom schema infrastructure, E-E-A-T architecture, and was migrated across hosts and DNS without losing a single ranking. The logo, the branding, the copy, the code — all Bree.

There are others. Client contracts prevent showing them.

Need ongoing SEO instead of a new build?

If your site is already built and you need monthly SEO management or a one-time audit, see SEO services & pricing or start with the $500 SEO Health Check.

Two ways to get started.

Thirty minutes on the phone, or fill out the form — whichever fits how you work. No pitch on either side. You'll know by the end whether this makes sense.

I'm Bree. Kentucky-based SEO strategist, web designer, and copywriter. 10+ years writing across industries, 8+ years in SEO, and I designed and built the site you're on right now. You work with me directly — no account managers, no handoffs to someone you've never spoken to. I write every word of copy myself.

Let's build the site that works.

Have a question about scope, timeline, or what's possible for your business? No pitch — just a conversation.
