Web development for businesses that need the site to actually work.

You paid for a website. It probably looked exactly how you wanted. Then you waited for calls that never came, because nobody mentioned that design and SEO usually get sold as two separate things, by two separate people, on two separate invoices.

That's what I fix. I'm a developer who also writes the SEO copy, builds the structure search engines can read, and ships the whole thing working from day one.

Web Development - SEO, speed, and accessibility built in. Custom builds from $3,800, $95/hr.

The website looked good. Nothing else did.

This is the story I hear most.

Step 1

They hired a designer.

Got a site they were proud of. Budget got spent.

Step 2

The site launched.

They waited for the calls.

Step 3

A few months in.

No traffic. No leads. No traction.

Step 4

They asked why.

Told they'd need SEO. Another service. Another vendor. Another contract.

The problem was never the design.

Design and SEO were treated like unrelated projects — and by the time anyone noticed, the budget was gone.

What SEO-first development actually means.

Every site I build starts with one question: who needs to find this, and how are they already searching for it?

That shapes everything before a single design choice gets made — the page structure, the headings, the copy, the way the site links to itself. When your site launches, the SEO foundation isn't something you're going back to fix. It's already there.

Custom build, not a template

Built for your brand and audience on whatever CMS fits how you run your business: WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Astro, Drupal, or static HTML. No pre-built themes that look like every other site in your industry.

Site structure Google can read

URL structure, heading hierarchy, internal linking — set up correctly from the start, not retrofitted after launch.

On-page optimization

Title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup where it applies, image alt text. The technical groundwork search engines need to understand what each page is about.

SEO copy — included, not added later

Every page, written to rank and to convert. Not placeholder text you'll eventually get around to fixing. Sales psychology built in. StoryBrand or another framework available as a service upgrade.

Built to last

Clean, documented, namespaced code with no plugin sprawl. WCAG-aware markup baked in, so the next developer who touches it will understand what was built.

Who this is for.

Businesses that want a website that does something, in Kentucky and nationwide.

How a web development project works.

01

Discovery

We talk through your business, your goals, and who you're trying to reach. I pull keyword and competitor data before anything gets designed.

02

Build

Your site will look good and load fast — that part's non-negotiable. I match the CMS to how you actually run your business, not whatever's trending. Mobile-first because Google has used mobile-first indexing as its default since July 2024 — the SEO cost of getting it wrong is too high to treat it any other way.

03

Content & optimization

I write the copy. Every page, structured around what your audience is actually searching for. This is where most web projects fall apart. Not here.

04

Launch & handoff

Your site goes live. You get a full walkthrough of what was built, what it's targeting, what to watch in Search Console, and what to prioritize next.

What it costs.

$3,800–$5,500
Base build · starting price

A launchable, rankable site of up to 10 pages with everything below included. Anything past the base gets quoted before anything is signed.

My rate is $95/hr. Builds are fixed-price, so you know the number before you sign. Everything beyond a build is billed at $95/hr, itemized, no surprises.

Included

  • Up to 10 SEO-optimized pagesBuilt as individual pages, not crammed into a catch-all "Services" tab. "Plumber Lexington KY" ranks. "Services" doesn't.

  • CMS setupConfigured and ready to use from day one.
  • SEO copy for every pageWritten to rank and to convert. Not Lorem ipsum you'll fix later.
  • Title tags, meta, schemaAcross all pages, not just the homepage.
  • XML sitemapGenerated and submitted.
  • Internal linking strategyEvery page connected intentionally, not whatever the CMS does by default.
  • Image alt textThroughout the site.

  • Photography & imagesI'll work with what you have, source public domain, or use AI-generated. I won't pull copyrighted images and hand you a liability.
  • HostingI'll set it up and optimize it, but it bills directly to you. You own it.
  • Domain registrationSame deal. I secure and connect it, but it goes in your name.
  • Logo designAvailable as a service upgrade, or work with what you have.
  • Membership / password-protected functionalityExpanded scope. Priced before anything gets signed.
  • Legal copyI can set up Iubenda, but I'm not a lawyer. That one's on you.

Frequently asked questions.

// Q1

How long does a project take?

Base builds — 10 pages, standard scope, no major add-ons — average 2–3 weeks. Larger scopes, more pages, or specific requests will push that toward 4–6 weeks. You'll get a realistic timeline before anything gets signed, not an optimistic one.

// Q2

What happens after launch?

Every build comes with a 30-day guarantee. If something I built breaks, a link is dead, schema comes back wrong, a typo surfaces — that gets fixed at no charge. After that, I'm available for ongoing maintenance, additional pages, troubleshooting, and updates on an hourly basis. No retainer required.

// Q3

Do you work with businesses outside Kentucky?

Yes — I work with small businesses anywhere. Kentucky clients are a priority because I care about what gets built here, and local SEO is part of what I do well.

// Q4

Can I use the CMS I already have?

Yes. I work with WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Astro, Drupal, and static HTML. If you have something you're already comfortable with, we use it. If you're starting from scratch, I'll give you a recommendation based on what actually fits your needs — not what's easiest for me.

// Q5

My site is fine, I just need SEO or a speed fix.

That's a separate service. See Technical SEO & Site Rescue, or start with the $500 Health Check.

// Q6

Is SEO copy really included, not an upsell?

Yes. Every page, written to rank. That's the whole point.

See it before you sign anything.

The site you're on right now is one example. bree-sharp.com runs on Astro with Cloudflare Pages — pre-rendered HTML, minimal JavaScript, built to load fast and rank. No page builders, no bloat.

manywordsonevoice.com is another — a WordPress publication in a YMYL niche, the category Google holds to its strictest quality standards. It runs a full custom schema infrastructure, E-E-A-T architecture, and was migrated across hosts and DNS without losing a single ranking. The logo, the branding, the copy, the code — all Bree.

There are others. Client contracts prevent showing them.
